This club is for people who have never taken an improv class before or have only taken a beginner class and for experienced improvisers who are open to playing with new improvisers. Participants must be 16 years old or older.

Each meeting, group leaders Jonathan Weidert and Amy Phillips will focus on one of the fundamentals of improv. In addition to building improv skills, the club is also about making friends and building community. Sessions are pay-what-you-can at the door.

If you’re free after the club, stick around for our 8:00 “Evening of Improv” which will feature performances from our house troupe, Whatever We Become, and two guest improv troupes from the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area and beyond!

Covid Policies

Vaccination Status

We strongly recommend that anyone attending a Civic Improv event be vaccinated for Covid-19 and that they stay up to date with their vaccine regimen.

Proof of vaccination is no longer required to attend events at the A2CT Studio.

Mask Policy

Staff and audience members are encouraged to remain masked while inside the A2CT Studio, but masks are no longer required to attend or perform at our events.

We also encourage everyone to upgrade their masks to KN95s or N95s if you can as current studies show that these mask classifications provide the best possible filtration when considering the Omicron variant.
